Leeds branch members attend the Cookridge Gardening club show each year and usually come away with a few prizes. This year the astrophytum shown below received best in show. This show also provides the opportunity to sell more branch plants for welcome funds and also lovers of plants to also take up our fabulous hobby. In June 2023 Peter Smith Leeds branch secretary has invited all the Cookridge members to an open evening at his address to further enhance this outreach and hopefully showcase how fascinating and exotic Cacti and succulents can be. Many can be kept as a house plant. Indeed quite a few Leeds members are window sill hobbyists.
